Job Description - Bookkeeper

This role is responsible for administrative and financial support for Autumn Teneyl Designs, LLC. It will include managing account reconciliations, credit cards, understanding of taxes and tax rates in multiple states, pay roll, and some personal expenses of the owner.

Accountant Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides financial information to owner by researching and analyzing accounting data and preparing reports.

  • Documents financial transactions by entering account information.

  • Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.

  • Summarizes the current financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheets profit and loss statements and other reports.

  • Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents (contractor rep paperwork, UPS bills, contract cut and sew rates).

  • Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.

  • Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.

  • Maintains financial security by following internal controls (owns and operates own quickbooks or accounting program).

  • Prepares payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements.

  • Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.

  • Complies with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.

  • Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.

  • Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.

  • Manage credit card payments and reconciling expenses for company

  • Resides in Colorado, preferably Summit, Eagle or Grand Counties, or in the Front Range


Work Hours and Benefits: Pay rate starts at $27/hr based on experience. Open to different types of employment from contract to full time employment. This can be decided through the hiring process.

Accountant Job Qualifications and Skills:

  • Follows Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

  • Exhibits strong technical accounting knowledge

  • Knows how to use popular accounting software

  • Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Has quickbooks and can effectively use quickbooks

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics, finance, or a similar major is required

  • Must be a certified public accountant (CPA)

  • A minimum of five years’ experience in accounting/finance is required

Pay is negotiable based on related experience.
